Cafe.com is a casual games social web site. The first version of the service used a Windows application to play games, chat, purchase items and edit the profile. I on site with the Beijing team to redesigned the application skin and improve the usability.

Boonty is a leader in the downloadable casual video games space since its creation in 2001. The Windows Media Center Edition web application allows users to browse the MCE games catalog, view game information, download and even play most of the game using only the remote control. I designed the user interface graphics and specified the behavior.

All Boonty games have a trial version, which uses a “nag screen” for game information and activation. This essential part of the purchase process was in need for a redesign. I wrote the functional specifications, created the activation workflow, designed the new UI and coded the embedded web pages. Part of this project, I conducted a focus group that had involved the entire company. I created the test scenario, supervised the test then aggregated and analyzed the results.

The BoontyBox is a games jukebox application. It indexes the games on a user’s computer, fetches game information and news, handles DRM and manages the game download and installation.

I’ve wrote the functional specifications, designed the user experience, managed the project development and wrote the documentation.

The CRM application for law firms needed to refresh the aging user interface and resolve usability issues. I wrote a set of guidelines for the development team, redesigned the key screens and workflows and created new icons for the main UI elements.
